Danfoss Series We Repair

VLT 2800, 5000, 6000 legacy series through current FC 102, FC 302, and FC 280 — all repaired at component level.

VFD — Legacy

VLT 2800 / 5000 Series

Legacy industrial VFDs widely deployed in manufacturing and material handling. Replacement drives are expensive and require re-integration — Flexa repairs these at component level instead.

  • VLT 2800 — Compact Industrial
  • VLT 5000 — Standard Industrial
  • VLT 5001–5006 — Frame Variants
Legacy Industrial 0.37–90kW
VFD — Legacy HVAC

VLT 6000 Series

Legacy HVAC and pump drives found in commercial buildings, water treatment, and district heating systems. Widely installed base — component-level repair extends service life significantly.

  • VLT 6000 HVAC Drive
  • VLT 6001–6006 — Frame Variants
HVAC/Pump Legacy
VFD

FC 301 / FC 302

Current-generation AutomationDrive. FC302 is the full-featured version with advanced vector control, encoder feedback, and safe torque off — used in demanding industrial applications worldwide.

  • FC301 — General Purpose
  • FC302 — Full Featured Vector
0.37–90kW Current Gen
VFD

FC 102 / FC 103 / FC 202

Application-specific drives for HVAC, water, and wastewater. FC102 for building HVAC, FC103 for pump control, FC202 for water and wastewater treatment applications.

  • FC102 — HVAC Drive
  • FC103 — Aqua Drive
  • FC202 — Aqua Drive Extended
HVAC/Pump/Water All kW Ratings
VFD — Compact

FC 51 / FC 280

Compact drives for space-constrained installations. FC51 Micro Drive for simple applications, FC280 Compact Drive with advanced control and fieldbus options in a minimal footprint.

  • FC51 Micro Drive
  • FC280 Compact Drive
Compact 0.18–22kW

Danfoss Alarm Codes We Diagnose & Fix

VLT and FC alarm codes diagnosed at component level — capacitor replacement, IGBT repair, fan service, and control card repair.

Alarm 9 — DC Undervoltage / Alarm 7 — Overvoltage

Capacitor bank degradation causes DC bus instability. Common on drives over 5 years old. Full capacitor replacement with modern equivalents resolves recurring voltage alarms on VLT 5000/6000 and FC 302 series.

Alarm 28 — Brake Check / IGBT Failure

Output IGBT short circuit on FC302 and VLT 5000. We replace individual IGBTs at component level — not the full power section. Repair typically takes 3–5 business days with testing under load.

Alarm 29 — Heatsink Temp / Fan Failure

Cooling fan failure or blocked heatsink triggers thermal shutdown before rated load. Fan replacement, heatsink cleaning, thermal interface service, and full load testing at operating temperature.

Control Card Failure — Drive Unresponsive

LCP panel communicates but the drive won't run or faults on startup. Control card failure at IC level. We repair the control card — the most cost-effective solution for VLT and FC control failures.

The Flexa Advantage for Danfoss Repair

Deep knowledge of VLT and FC hardware — legacy and current generation — repaired at component level with full functional testing.

VLT & FC at Component Level

We repair Danfoss VLT 5000/6000 and FC 102/302 series at IC level — individual IGBT replacement, DC bus capacitor service, and control card IC repair. Root cause found before repair begins.

2-Year Parts & Labor Warranty

Every Danfoss VFD repair is backed by a 2-year parts and labor warranty. Full functional load test before shipping — all drive parameters and settings verified before return.

Fast Turnaround

Most Danfoss FC and VLT repairs completed in 3–5 business days. Rush 24–72-hour service available for HVAC, pump, and production-critical downtime situations.

Repair vs. Replace Savings

New Danfoss FC302 or FC102 drives cost $1,500–$18,000+. Our component-level repair typically runs 30–50% of that — and avoids the commissioning time of re-programming a new drive into an existing system.

Common Questions

Danfoss Drive Repair — FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about our Danfoss VFD repair service.

What Danfoss drives does Flexa Systems repair?

We repair Danfoss VLT and FC series variable frequency drives:

  • FC series: FC51 (Micro Drive), FC102, FC202, FC280, FC301, FC302
  • Legacy VLT: VLT2800, VLT3000, VLT5000, VLT6000, VLT8000
  • HVAC: FC102 HVAC Drive, VLT HVAC Drive
How much does Danfoss VFD repair cost?

Danfoss drive repairs save 40–70% compared to replacement. Typical ranges:

  • FC51 Micro Drive / FC280 (compact): $300–$700
  • FC102 / FC302 (mid-range): $500–$1,500
  • Legacy VLT2800 / VLT5000: $400–$1,200

Free diagnostic evaluation with no obligation to repair.

Can you repair legacy Danfoss VLT drives?

Yes. Legacy VLT2800, VLT5000, and VLT6000 drives are discontinued but remain widely deployed. Component-level repair extends their life when new units are no longer available or would require costly system redesign to replace.

What are the most common Danfoss drive failures?

Most common Danfoss failure modes we repair:

  • Trip 29 (Heatsink temp) — fan failure or thermal compound degradation
  • Trip 38 (Internal fault) — power card or control card failure
  • Trip 16 (Short circuit) — IGBT module failure
  • Trip 0 (No trip) — drive won't power on, power supply failure
What warranty do you offer on Danfoss repairs?

All Danfoss drive repairs carry a 2-year parts and labor warranty. Full load test conducted before return shipment. No fix, no fee.
