Parker 690+0150/460/CNS | 150 HP 460V VFD

The Parker 690+0150/460/CNS is a 150 HP variable frequency drive configured with a chassis enclosure, braking switch, and integrated system board. This model is engineered for high-performance industrial automation requiring advanced communication, robust deceleration control, and precise torque handling.

  • Power: 150 HP (Frame F)
  • Input Voltage: 460V AC ±10%
  • Enclosure Type: Chassis (IP20, open-style)
  • Braking Option: Brake switch included (B)
  • System Board: Installed (S) – enables advanced I/O and fieldbus capability

Drive Capabilities & Typical Applications

The CNS configuration provides enhanced control and safety, suitable for applications such as high-inertia material handling, automated lifting systems, high-speed packaging lines, and anywhere Safe Torque Off (STO) and communication via system board are required.

Common Drive Issues We Can Fix

  • ⚠️ Overvoltage Alarms – From sudden deceleration or missing braking resistors.
  • ⚠️ Undervoltage – Caused by poor power supply, phase loss, or unstable mains.
  • ⚠️ Overcurrent Faults – Tied to aggressive load changes or misconfigured boost levels.
  • ⚠️ Thermal Shutdown – Internal temperature exceeds limits due to poor cooling.
  • ⚠️ Motor Stall Detected – Torque not sufficient, or current limits set too conservatively.
  • ⚠️ Braking Circuit Overload – Occurs when frequent stops exceed brake switch rating.
  • ⚠️ Brake Switch Trip – Usually triggered by too much load energy during deceleration.
  • ⚠️ Lost COMMS – System board may lose communication with PLC or HMI.
  • ⚠️ STO Fault – Safe Torque Off signal not received or STO board defective.
  • ⚠️ Control ↔ Power Section Error – Internal synchronization failure.
  • ⚠️ Feedback Overspeed – Signal drift or encoder malfunction may cause this.
  • ⚠️ Current Surge – When loads or settings cause stack current to exceed trip threshold.
  • ⚠️ 24V Power Drop – Short circuit on I/O or overloaded auxiliary devices.
  • ⚠️ Phase Failure – One or more input phases missing or unbalanced.
  • ⚠️ Desaturation (DESAT) – Instant high-current through IGBT; power stage issue.
  • ⚠️ Ripple Voltage Alarm – Often indicates degraded capacitors or unbalanced input.
  • ⚠️ Brake Short CCT – Short circuit in brake wiring or failed resistor.
  • ⚠️ Speed Feedback Error – Encoder mismatch or noise on feedback loop.
  • ⚠️ Analog Input Fault – Bad scaling or incompatible control signal range.
  • ⚠️ Boost Overload at Low Speed – Aggressive torque boost on startup can trigger trips.
  • ⚠️ Motor Overtemperature – Caused by prolonged low-speed operation or thermistor issues.
