Common Drive Issues We Can Fix ๐Ÿ”ง

  • โšก Excessively high internal voltage (DC overvoltage) caused by large loads, poor config, or faulty resistors
  • ๐Ÿ”Œ Undervoltage from missing phases, unstable supply, or internal hardware issues
  • ๐Ÿ” Drive overcurrent due to shock loads, short circuits, or improper motor setups
  • ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Overheated heatsink due to poor spacing or blocked airflow in control panels
  • ๐Ÿšซ Motor fails to start or rotate due to misconfiguration or excessive load
  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ Braking resistor overload during frequent or rapid deceleration events
  • ๐Ÿงจ Internal brake switch damage from repeated high-inertia braking
  • ๐Ÿ“ถ Lost communication due to misconfigured timeout settings or cable faults
  • ๐Ÿ›‘ STO (Safe Torque Off) failureโ€”often a damaged or degraded STO board
  • ๐Ÿ”„ Controller to power board comm failureโ€”likely internal firmware or logic board damage
  • ๐Ÿ“‰ Speed feedback errors beyond 50% deviation for over 10 seconds
  • ๐Ÿšจ Trips from current limit spikes over 180% due to rapid acceleration/deceleration
  • ๐Ÿ”‹ 24V output drop below 17V, usually from shorts or excessive draw
  • โš ๏ธ Phase failure: one or more power phases missing, fuse blowouts, or internal trace damage
  • ๐Ÿ’ฅ Instant overcurrent (DESAT), commonly linked to failing IGBTs or drive stages
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ DC ripple voltage too high from poor phase balance or faulty bus capacitors
  • ๐Ÿ’ฃ Brake short circuit โ€” brake path drawing excess current
  • ๐Ÿš€ Overspeed detection from encoder misfeedback or faulty speed control
  • ๐ŸŽš๏ธ Analog input errors โ€” often wiring issues or misconfigured input ranges
  • ๐ŸŒ High current at low speeds โ€” boost settings too high or internal failures
  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ Motor overheating caused by thermistor wiring issues, prolonged low-speed use, or incorrect voltage rating
