Common Faults – We Handle All of These In-House

To avoid duplication, here’s a freshly reworded list of the 21 faults we can solve on your Parker 690+ drive:

  • Phase Detection Error: Input phase imbalance or open-phase condition.
  • Bus Voltage Surge: High DC bus readings, often due to regen energy return.
  • Voltage Drop Under Load: Power sag when motor is accelerating or under torque.
  • Power Module Issue: One or more IGBTs malfunction or generate overcurrent.
  • Drive Overheat Alarm: Excessive internal temps due to fan or airflow problems.
  • Encoder Feedback Loss: No signal or intermittent pulse from HTTL or quadrature feedback.
  • Brake Resistor Malfunction: Either open circuit or overheating inside braking path.
  • Load-Induced Overcurrent: Inrush spikes due to improperly tuned acceleration.
  • STO/E-Stop Trigger: Safety circuit interruption either from wiring or safety PLC.
  • Input Signal Anomaly: Potentiometer or analog signal dropout due to aged wiring.
  • PLC Communication Loss: Broken or noisy link to external control systems.
  • Gate Drive Error: Control board fails to initialize gate pulses correctly.
  • Overspeed Detection: Actual motor speed surpasses configured max RPM.
  • Bootup Sequence Halted: Controller freezes during firmware or parameter load.
  • Capacitor Ripple Too High: Internal capacitors degraded or ripple current out of range.
  • Heatsink Sensor Fault: Thermal probe not providing reliable temperature data.
  • Ground Fault on Output: Leakage path or short on the U/V/W terminals.
  • CPU Crash: Control processor glitches due to noise, firmware, or memory error.
  • Low Output Supply: 10V or 24V reference line dips due to internal regulation failure.
  • Motor Thermal Trip: Internal protection shuts drive when motor runs too hot.
  • Acceleration Trip: Drive trips on rapid speed ramp due to high-inertia load.
